Maximize the Use of Google Search Engine

Even though this blog is about free software, search engine that we can use as much as we want with no need to spend money is still categorized under this blog's topic. The definition about free software that I hold for this blog is anything that works under an operating system that has ability to perform some functions and can be used freely.

Sample Case: Find a Computer Science Book
Google search query: intitle:index.of "parent directory" computer science .pdf

The above search query means that we want to get web pages that has the word index of in the page title, the two words parent directory in exact order, and words computer science .pdf in any order. Usually this kind of web pages is a directory web page which is a web page that contains data list structured in folder and sub folder model. From the result of the above query, you can get list of downloadable computer science books. You can change the words computer science with category name of the book that you want to find.

In above example you can limit search result by using intitle: keyword. There are some other keywords that we can add in our search query.
inurl:"computer science" - get web pages that has words computer science in its url
site:utilizefreesoftware.blogspot.com - get the search result only from this web blog
filetype:pptx - get search result with file extension *.pptx
-download - by using minus sign, we get web pages that has no word download in it
